DEIR EZ-ZOR– A number of women from Deir ez-Zor noted that they faced a lot of injustice during the occupation of IS mercenaries of their areas, and confirmed that after liberation by the Syrian Democratic Forces began to engage in all the sides of life.
In conjunction with International Women’s Day, Hawar news agency met with many women from Deir ez-Zor who expressed their gratitude to the Syrian Democratic Forces, which liberated their areas and restored their stolen rights by male and authoritarian regimes.
“During the occupation of IS mercenaries, we have deprived from our most basic rights and we have suffered from the exclusion in all areas of life,” said a member of the Women’s Center in Deir ez-Zor Aisha Massoud al-Ahmad.
“With the liberation of Syrian Democratic Forces, women have begun to participate in all spheres of life and have played an important role on the battlefields, educational institutions and co-chair with men in all institutions and we began to defend ourselves,” Aisha said.
For her part, member of the Women’s Center in Deir ez-Zor Khadija al-Ali stressed that women in the Arab regions in particular suffered injustice, oppression and had no role in life. “Thanks to Syrian Democratic Forces, I have a place in society and we represent women in all fields.”
At the end of their conversation, Aisha and Khadijah blessed the International Women’s Day with all the women and fighters who stand in the trenches to fight terrorism.
