Turkish attacks against Afrin continue

AFRIN- The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries have been bombarding Afrin canton since Wednesday night amid a firm response by People Protection Units (YPG) and Women Protection Units (YPJ) to the sources of fire.

Meantime, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries are bombarding the villages of Janders area and Shera district.

According to what military forces stated to Hawar news agency, the Turkish occupation army is bombarding meanwhile the surrounding Hasherkiya Bridge in Rajo area with mortars from Bakur (North Kurdistan).

Before a while, several mortars fell on Dikmadush village and its surrounding in Shera district that were launched by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries who are stationed in Azaz area.

In this context, the Turkish occupation army who are stationed in the border police stations targeted the village of Sheikh Khurzeh in Bulbul district, and according to the source, several mortars fell within the village and its surrounding.

The bombardment is still ongoing intermittently on the mentioned areas.

On Wednesday night

Many villages and districts in the canton witnessed on Wednesday evening a bombardment with heavy and medium weapons, and it inflicted financial damage to the civilians’ possessions.

According to what military sources stated to Hawar news agency, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries who are stationed in Azaz area in the western countryside of Aleppo targeted Kafar Jannah, Bafloun, Qestal Jendo, Beylone, and Malkiye villages in Shera district using Obis shells, and YPG, YPJ responded with heavy weapons to the sources of bombardment to target two military points of the mercenaries in Azaz. Moreover, according to the information obtained, there are wounded in the ranks of the mercenaries without obtaining accurate information about that.

In the same context, movements of the mercenaries have been observed in the opposite side to Basofan village in Sherawa district at 12:00 in the midnight, and YPG fighters targeted the mercenaries’ movements with medium weapons amid news stated that there are losses in the ranks of the mercenaries.

The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries targeted at 12;00 on Wednesday midnight and till Thursday morning at 06:00 several hills in Janders area. According to the source, 12 mortars fell on Bakhtiyar hill, 7 mortars fell on Batman hill while 10 mortars fell on the surrounding of Başûr hill in coincidence with targeting them with Dushkas.

In their turn, YPG and YPJ responded firmly to the mercenaries’ bombardment, and they targeted the fire’s sources with heavy weapons while there is no accurate information about the results of the clashes.

The Turkish occupation army targeted from Sejiye Border Station in Bakur (North Kurdistan) Senare village in Shia district in Janders area with a hail of bullets, and it targeted with several shells the surrounding of Marwaniya village in the same district. The bombardment did not result in damage.

The border areas that are adjacent to the points of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries have been witnessing since the morning a complete quiet.
